this series is so important
Hell yessss some of my fave comedians in this!!
I'm sorry, were you not telling your stories before? Isn't that what stand-up is, regardless of race?
Here you go.
This is great, I'd watch but I think I've seen all of them already😭🤣
Ooooh still watch it!! They have little interview sections that are great!
Most of my favourite comedians are black. Weirdly, their humour touch me the most, even though I'm a white Eastern European and I've seen like 5 black people in my life
Love the idea but I thought this was going to be dark humor.. because my grandma just died
1:56 If overcoming the odds is a black thing, how come all we hear about is how they're so marginalized and need special programs and policies to level the playing field so they can succeed in America? Something not adding up...
@rohsei not racist, he may be an asshole. But this ISN’T racist. I’ve been trying to explain that there’s a difference, because when you throw the word “racism” around without warrant it loses it’s power and that power is much needed in these times.
Maybe you should graduate middle school before commenting about things that show how uneducated you are about the subject
Wooo boy, @Kristrumentals...You had all the time you needed to write your comment, and this is what you came up with? Bless your heart.
why are you racist?
I need more information!
All comedian hailed of you all world. God bless you. All world.
"Black comedians are some of the most important journalists in America" While they show a clip of a British comedian hahaha
@Charmaine Brent Oh, you must be David's sister! You sound just like him.
Who lives in America
What a great video
What a racist BS event
@Zoey White Exactly! - If you do not see the problem here there is something very wrong wirh your brain. - Imagin a event for just white comedians. - Does this ring a bell now?
What how is this racist? This is literally representation for black comedians.
Hell yeah i love this concept. People gotta hear what others have been through and comedy is the best way. My older brother would have some good ones too, he was the token "white boy" out of all his friends when we were kids, very interesting perspectives to hear and feel!!! This could bring back comedy central
yay identity politics
@David Del Real Oh, pulleaze. If comics discussing the racism they've encountered is "identity politics, " then it's people like you who have created the need for it.
@Orlando Jones how is it not
How is it identity politics?
These people live in a fantasy land
I love this! & I love that this is happening on comedy central ... we NEED this!!
@MJ Maccabee fr. the comments continue to prove why we desperately need this! and why we desperately need more diversity in general within mass media because ignorant people make these racist remarks. it’s like they reject anything that isn’t white and saltined downed for them
@Mark Malou Yes we do.
@Mark Malou Why even bother with this racist snark? Do you feel like a Big Man now?
No we don't.
I'm all for this, but all you linked to was a website with this same video on it? What's that about?
Put the working link in the description, Comedy Central!
Looking forward to the Real Life Experiences of White, Indian, Latino, Asian comedians. 😏 won't hold my breath
I like to be able to hear things how they are from the people involved. I’d probably never know the daily lives and the struggles people face if It weren’t for comedy. How else could I know about an entire group that im not a part of?
are there any funny comedians in this?
@Ninqi Stratton which ones? Are the funny parts in the actual series?
Hella!
Fam! Why he look like Stephen A Smith chubby older brother 😂
Is this Stanley in the beginning??
Keep up the comedy we need more positivity in this negative world
Please, stop making everything about race. We're all sick of it.
@Zoey White Black people are already over represented in American culture. Seriously, they only make up 13% of the total population yet look how popularized black culture has become. Hispanics and Asians should be represented as well, America is just obsessed with black people right now. Also saying that I have no voice because I'm not black is racist also. See how this works? Bye now.
Everything is about race. Also this is great to have representation for black people. If your not black stop talking about what we are doing you have no say in this.
@MJ Maccabee Did you seriously just tell me to read a horribly biased news source every week for a year and then try to form an opinion? Wow...... it's no wonder why you're brainwashed into thinking that racism is everywhere. Dude, just look at literally every large tech institution, corporation, modern day music literally everything else. Racism is not a big problem anymore, hasn't been for a long time. People like you are being weaponized so that they can win your vote. Stop this.
@Mark Malou How telling that you assume that if I see and call out racism like yours, I must be Black. I'm white -- as I pointed out in my response to you above, but your supposedly non-existent bias got in the way of processing information. I suggest you go do some reading. Read black history and Latino history and Native American history and then insist that people of color are just "obsessed with finding racism where none exists" [I'm paraphrasing you]. Read TheRoot.com every week for a year, and then get back to me about whether or not there is ongoing systemic racism in this country.
@MJ Maccabee My rebuttal to your comment gets deleted every time. Why? Because it goes against the "white people are holding us down" narrative. That, my friend, is proof that society does not favor white opinion at all, and you are NOT oppressed. Please, stop acting like white people are holding black people down. This isn't the 1700's, we literally elected a black president then elected him again. Stop it. This will be deleted again for "hate speech", and that is proof enough that if anything, there is an attack on the alternative narrative. We can all get along without obsessing about race. Just, stop. Bye now.
I'd rather have actual dark humour
@Ninqi Stratton I don't think you know what dark humour is..
no one asked
@UC20gd5gRo-gVFs6NcmbYPyg Just look at the response you just gave. Look at how many times you used the word allowed. Your literally telling me your people allow my people to move freely so I should be happy. You probably didn't even realize it but that's the subconscious mentality that plagues this country. I'm not saying it's like the Jim Crow era but just because we're "allowed" to do stuff things aren't all equal. Just because Lebron James is a superstar doesn't mean we should shut up when something bad happens to one of our own. Your mentality shows we'll never get along in this country and that's crazy cause even after everything we actually still f@#ks with y'all. It's not reciprocated tho. Only if we stay quiet and do what you "allow" us to do I guess. Kinda crazy way of thinking huh
@DQMYNATOR 2.0 It hasn't stopped soooooooooooo NOPE 😉
A bunch of them are probably dark humor jokers. Did you even watch it?
