yeah I think that is what they meant and I hate that they did that. Black comics are excellent don't get me wrong but the title made me think it was an actually dark comedy.

Oh, the black comedians. Are they going to talk about something unusual? Of course not. They will tell you how black they are, how black we are not, how black we should be, how black we shouldn't be, what black is, what black was, what black should be, how black the black should be, what is the difference between black and not black, what black might have been and all that interesting stuff.

They probably felt forced to address it in the early days to audiences at large and haven't grown out of it. Ethnic white comics did the same thing. You attempt to break the tension by talking about it. And most people find humor in stereotypes because there is some truth there. Of course some lean into it too much because they're lazy and don't have comedic talent

The last time I enjoyed comedy on this channel, Key and Peele were still on the air. Now they are all about racial tension and social justice. Boring.

@teahgurl Why did you delete your original comment? Its still in my inbox, you know. Tone down your racist assumptions.... If by "you all", you're referring to Native Americans. Then yeah. Every Feburary is "lets forget an ongoing genocide is still happening" month. It must be great being black. ....try growing up on a rez.

It’s about what tf is actually going on... comedy change with the social climate. . . But comedy has always mentioned race sooo 😪

      1. Funny is funny. No other qualifier matters. You can say, "as a [insert any pronoun]" ...and it won't matter if someone isn't funny. But using race as the punchline is just in its nature "racist". 2. Comedy is a place to be irreverent, not "woke" 3. Audiences don't have to attend, there's always the personal choice; but now when comedians pander to pc culture, they comes of as too conformist and dull, and they are less experimental and willing to actually address current events. But audiences have been heckling anytime someone gets triggered by a word. Especially as rapidly as terminology can change. Audiences have been less forgiving to any comedian; there's less leeway now. 4. Compare Michael Richards and Eddie Griffin. ....i think if Patrice O'Neal was coming up now, even he'd be cancelled.
