Extremely important conversation. Loved this.! 🙌🏼 Thank you !
2:10 Lady, you can can talk about whatever you want to talk about on stage as a comic...if people think it's funny they'll laugh, if not then you suck.
I talk about my periods bc I like making people uncomfortable
"There's only thing that matters: Ae you funny?"
Bruh, none of this was fucking funny.
Where is the humor?
These people are high on their own bullshit. No one thinks like that. Lol Edit: Except the girl talking about the naked dude. That's real. No one cares about their race though and they're just trippin on it themselves.
Necessary conversation 👏🏾 👏🏾 As an audience, I feel we are ready and interested in hearing stories/jokes that go beyond stereotypes and speak to the complexity of our real lives as well! Would love to hear other comedians experiences on and off stage. This new crop of talent are definitely more introspective, thoughtful (kind), collaborative AND FUNNY!!
I'd rather play checkers with pat cooper and listen to old o and a shows or moms mably.
Why do 90% of these women look nervous?
@Aiden Noeue Did you notice no funny things were said either? That was my main objective. Laugh a little. Nope. Not from CC anymore.
Drug test after the show? They gotta pay the rest of the tickets if its not at full capacity? Not being funny? There are soooooo many possibilities.
Wow. We watched the same thing but had totally different experiences. I saw women speaking frankly and candidly about their lived experience. I didn't notice any nervousness at all. Reality filters are a trip.
Sexism?? Going by these clips, I think the issue is that they are just not funny. Sorry, but quit playing the victim card.
Where is the comedy?
Read the description.
In all my years of watching bill burr, Dave Chappell and other great comedians I’ve only heard a dick joke maybe once or twice lol
Thank you for further validating the title.
The only thing I don’t like is when she acted like light skin women are prettier than dark skin.
Eh only the legend in the beginning was funny, the others were just dumb broads.
Love the fat period joke. Right on fat pads.
😂
It’s funny how the issue of sexism only goes one way. Women are always the victims; never the perpetrators or beneficiaries... Only the victims.
Can you describe what kind of sexism against men you are talking about?
@Ana P who hurt you?
"Who hurt you?"
Instant like.
Very informative
@Skuzzbrush BulkheadI hardly watch comedy. I prefer madness.
Damn i just got here and the comment section is hitting all the classics: "not all men are like that", "women just aren't funny", "people complaining about racism make it worse" and of course "which is it??? racism or sexism?? it cant be BOTH!!!"
Who hurt you?
These comments are a mess, and I ain't in the mood to argue, but this series is so insightful. I know CC isn't up in these comments, but thank you for giving these women (and men in the other videos) a place to speak up about their experiences working in this field. I always glorified the idea of making people laugh and travelling and getting paid, but in reality it's work. And it's hard work like any other job, especially being in an oppressed group of society. It makes me respect these people all that much more.
Women are not an oppressed group in society. Women are on every platform talking about their issues, including the ones they aren’t the main sufferers from, and have entire governments and business conglomerates supporting them. Stop it.
This comment section a fucking mess. A bunch of cishet men that don't understand intersectionality or the lived experience of women.
It's just about the comedy, and, it's not there.
And do ya understand our lives?
You don’t care about the lived experience of men; you just assume their all privileged and evil. So don’t cry when people don’t care about yours
I literally look up "standup dick" and it's just women talking about dick. How can someone be self aware enough that they realize that someone wants them to shut up, but not about the comedy scene they are in?
DARK HUMOUR I’m offended by how I hate puns
Oh that’s what that meant, I thought these were gonna be actually good jokes but judging by the video they aren’t.
The subject is sexism buy yet it falls back racism!!! Can't even stay on topic. Simple truth is most men don't find women funny. But people seem to get offended by that simple fact.
And this video is one reason why they're not funny, they can't even stay on topic but even that i can ignore... but that's not all. They're not funny whether it's on topic or off topic because always notice that whenever they wanna talk about sexism or racism, u start to notice that they're not trying to make people laugh, at that point they just be complaining
Patrice’s sisters.
Patrice would have destroyed every single one of them. He actually has, he has destroyed yamanaka
Do not disrespect Patrice like that
"Men want women to shut up." "Men talk about their dicks." Lady, you need to meet new men. Not all of us are like that.
@Bandana23 Or - and hear me out here - both people made valid points and nobody was ignored.
It’s the: not all of us, but choosing to ignore the valid messages that were brought to the table, for me
No no, not new men. She just needs to meet a man simple as that. I never met a guy who LoOves talking about his weiner.
Blk comedian using "racism" jokes is so predictable 🙄 😴
Wow you couldnt type the word BLACK. See how it is now? Careful with the egg shells.
So?
If race is 95% of your experience. You’re doing it wrong
@Tora Chan try losing a limb and not having 95% of your experience be about living without it. Being non white is like losing the privilege and being reminded of it by others in every situation.
You’re 100% right. Don’t listen to these professional victims
Check your privilege
This sounds about white
When you dont have a choice 😑😑
This is comedy.
This is something that is attempting to be comedy
This is Comedy Central.
I love yamaneika🥰🥰🥰 that's my sis 💓
Yaaaassss girl! I love her!
Hmmmm. Black humor. This is NOT dark humor.
I agree, nothing about this is dark
Racist 😂😂😂
Its funny. Women know men dont want to hear them and they will not shut up about it.
@Alimagedon_1368 What? I only speak english and I don't know what those words mean in that order. T up? Not you saying? Did you mean NOW? But the T is too far from the W. Did you mean NOR? You need spell check.
@Alessandro Gambino Please elaborate. And try to stay on topic.
@merickful Are you black? Because normal people do not talk like that.
That's comedy. Remove yourself from the equation.
