Why is it that black people can make jokes about white people, but if it's the other way around, then it's being racist. Just something I noticed and had to ask, by the way I'm Indian from south africa

So, ok. Why are each of these basically the same things, switched up the orders some but not really new content. Using the same hand full of material, comics, and interviews but just changing the order DOES NOT make it a new video. I was really looking forward to this series of videos.

@Anjali Dandriyal I definitely agree that hearing from different people’s experiences shouldn’t make a person feel uncomfortable. But, content made that is designed to focus on a group is inherently decisive. This is called Dark Humor. Obviously it has nothing to do with the comedy genre dark humor. Instead, this was about skin color. But, it isn’t just about skin color. They could have included lots of different people with darker skin tones and shared their unique perspectives and the difficult time they have. Instead, this uses a title that really could apply to lots of people and really only focuses on a single group. In that way this misses an opportunity to be inclusive. This could talk about LatinX people who have difficult times, this could talk about southeast Asians and Indian people who have a difficult time, this could talk about native Americans. They missed an opportunity to actually be inclusive and make this about more than a single group. Instead this focuses on decisive lines of a single group of people which cannot help but make this into “us vs them”. If this had a title about being religious in an increasingly agnostic and atheistic world as people get more educated and chose to only focus on a single religion I would feel the same way. That would be a missed opportunity to talk about the impacts within each different religious group.

Just stick your head back in all your privilege. Black people talking about their experiences makes you uncomfortable, it's plain to see. Unfortunately for you, they do exist.

@Expert Excavating, Inc. philosophically, isn’t anything that focuses on divide (celebration or otherwise) something that further draws lines of separation? Feelings of us and feelings of them? I don’t know if I’d go so far as to call this racial division. Like you, I think of it as celebration. Still, I feel like anything that groups people together is by nature divisive. The question is, to what extent? No one cares about being grouped by the type of car they have. Nerds and jocks isn’t much of a thing since the nerds won. Things related to religion, political party, race and a handful of others can make strong lines of this is us, and anyone who isn’t us is .... different. What different means depends a lot on the identifying factor and the individual. What do you think?

So disappointed that you called this series dark humor as a comedy network knowing that dark humor is a genre of comedy. I get it, dark humor and they’re African American telling jokes about race for a black history month special. Nothing wrong with the content. Nothing wrong with the performers. If you called it political humor and it wasn’t about politics I would also feel disappointed. You just needed another few minutes at the table to brainstorm an idea that wasn’t a bad pun while not being that type of comedy and one that also is trying to talk about the exclusion African Americans feel in every day life .... while using a title that could apply to other minorities. There won’t be any “dark” humor due to skin tone because the comedian is Latin or Asian or Indian (which is still Asian but some consider it separate).

@ONLY 4C A E S T H E T I C why would I be referring to any other time period than this time period????and while you can only name a small handful of comedians who make jokes about black people, the MAJORITY of black comedians make this type of white derogatory humor the basis of their sets. And the non black comedians who get a pass on black humor have to make it tasteful. While black comedians get free pass to be as mean spirited and insulting as they want. You're blind if you don't see the double standard.
